My 2 cents isn't probably even worth that but I have been using vista for over a month now
and have found it great
Vista was def designed for people with wide screen lcds..
i only have 1 gig of ram , but vista is hungry for more...however i am not putting out until i get a new mobo and cpu
some of the icons have moved around but its all still there
Pros, looks fantasic on a widescreen lcd, its windows xp with a linux cosmetic facelift
It boots quickly even on 1 gig ram
Sata hdd support off the bat
Games wise they are all working..battlefield 2 chugs a little more than xp but i think this is because of vistas higher demand for ram
Cons:
Memory hog?? ..Defineltely needs 2 gigs of ram... if your buying a new computer make sure...
I get a bluescreen occasionally when remoting into my computer ..there are still some bugs obviously
The movie thumbnail creator is a pain in the butt... i got rid of the reg key in xp which does this...now to find in vista
Drivers are still being fine tuned...
Requires new software versions...all the basic software you were using, like antivirus, burning, virtual drive , movie editing needed new versions
----------------
When i eventually get a new computer i will be installing the 64 bit version
