I've been following the beta releases of W7 since eariler stages and as we all pretty much know that it is just a finely tuned Windows Vista. As a very happy Vista x64 user , yes you heard it.
I have a suggestions which they won't listen to but anyways
Release 1 retail version of W7
eg Ultimate x64
no x86 version
no upgrade versions
price $50
should fix all driver problems and all computers which can run 64bit processor are decent enough to run w7...
I might even buy it...

ipad 2 cents
When I heard that apple is going to release a tablet which has been nicknamed ipad, I knew I had to write something...overall its good news for tech junkies and cloners.
Lets get some things upfront , if you have read any of my other posts...it may or may not be clear I am not a fan of Apple, for several reasons.
They apply their BSD rip off OSX which is the only thing they have of value. Streamlined for a limited set of hardware. because they know with openess (is that even a word) it could never be as stable.
They make their hardware inconvenient to the regular user to fix, like non user replaceable batteries....the keywords here are inconvenient and regular user.
They lock down the system so it is difficult to develop for
They lock down the system so the user can only do things Apple wants them to, like itunes POS
They initally said that netbooks were cheap junk, but they have come to their senses after seeing that is where the market is heading, ( cheap MID's)
small portable devices we can watch movies on, read ebooks, listen to music , browse the internet and is the size of a sheet of paper.
So its obvious that they will have a "large ipod" probably running an atom chip with a 8 -10 inch screen and then charge netbook price + apple tax for it.
overall I am glad that apple are making a ipad, it won't be long till the cloners make something we actually want to use with the same parts, cheaper.
What makes me mad is when the apple flock is going to come out and say
Apple revolutioned the MID
NO, APPLE is entering the well established netbook market with what it knows.

They design their products with two things in mind..how it looks and profit.
